Pala “Pavielle (pronounced pa-vi-elle)” C. was born in Leeds, London
on November 24th 1984. Her mother is a full-blooded American Indian of the Cherokee tribe. Her father was half
British and half American Indian of the Lakota tribe. When Pala was six, she moved to the United States, she attended Calvin
Coolidge Senior High School in Washington, D.C. Then in her senior year, she
transferred to Richard Milburn Chartered School in Washington, D.C. She graduated from high school with full honors being
the valedictorian of her entire school! She now attends Livingstone College in
North Carolina and is majoring is psychology, however, her aspiration is to become an actress. Especially since her cousin
Dave Chappelle (from “The Chappelle’s Show” fame on Comedy Central) is in acting. Pala is very close with
her parents, however, her father passed away recently. Pala credits several people for her inspiration for her poems, two
in particular being: 1. actor Bill Moseley (actor of the recently released film “The Devil’s Rejects”) who
Pala says “ has talent and charisma that seems to expand and stretch as far as the mountains.” The other being:
2. actor Garret Dillahunt (actor of the Emmy nominated show “Deadwood” and of the show “The 4400”),
who Pala says “ is well respected by me for his straight forwardness and the beautiful soul and heart that rests within
himself.” Pala’s poems focus on love, heartache and America’s struggle’s mostly because she says “
Those are the things that have effected me most in my lifetime, and to share those feelings with other is like a gift that
just keeps on giving.” Pala hopes her poems gives inspiration to others, and will touch people’s hearts. She also
hopes to take her poems and publish them in a book. Pala currently splits her time up between North Carolina, and Washington,
D.C. She hopes after college to move to Los Angeles, California. |
